DescriptionCpf1 is an RNA-guided nuclease, similar to cas9. Cpf1 requires only one RNA(42nt) and cleaves DNA in a staggered pattern. Two Cp1-family proteins, AsCpf1 and LbCpf1, have been shown to perform efficient genome editing in human cells. Both AsCpf1 and LbCpf1 ribonucleoproteins (RNPs) had no off-target editing in a human cell culture model (ref1). Cpf1 enzyme cuts both RNA and DNA(Nature)
ApplicationUsed for 1) In vitro DNA and RNA cleavage by gRNA guiding; 2) Genome editing through the injection for mammalian zygote, zebrafish embryos, & drosophila embryos; 3) Introduction into cell by transfection. In this buffer, AsCpf1 can directly be used for microinjection, eletroporation and in vitro DNA cleavage.
